Legit Reviews -- The ATI Radeon HD 5450 graphics card brings full DirectX 11 support, ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology and ATI Stream technology support for less than $60. That sounds great, but in reality the Radeon HD 5450 graphics card wasn't that great in gaming. What the ATI Radeon HD 5450 is good at is a home theater PC (HTPC) or a media PC. The single slot low-profile capable card that we looked at today requires no cooling fan or additional power supply power cables. Since the card is passively-cooled it is silent and the fact that it can do HDMI 1.3a with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio it is the ideal graphics card for a HTPC. For less than $60 the Radeon HD 5450 video card costs less than HDMI sound cards like the $139 ASUS Xonar HDAV 1.3 Slim HDMI Audio Card that was once needed for DTS-HD Master Audio bitstreaming. Now with a graphics card like the ATI Radeon HD 5450 you get pretty much all the same functionality plus additional GPU features...

Motherboards.org -- As a video card for the enthusiast gamer this does not fit the bill. On the other hand such a gamer will not likely spend $50 to buy a video card but there are other markets than the hardcore gamer. The Home Theater PC owner with a low-profile case this card is the perfect fit. It offers much higher performance than the latest integrated graphics technology from Intel or AMD, draws less power, has no active cooling and has the ability to run three monitors on a PCB that is the same size as the previous generation HD 4350 card which has the same specs in terms of Stream Processors.

TweakTown -- The release of a new graphics card every month from ATI is almost drawing to a close. Apart from the HD 5450 we have today, we'll see the HD 5570 early next week and between the middle and the end of this month we should see the HD 5830. It's not like we're going to get much of a break, though, as roll into March and it's time for NVIDIA to hammer us for the next three months with 400 series cards. Once that comes to an end we'll probably start to see refreshes of the top end ATI cards and towards the end of this year we should see another generation of NV cards.

Pro-Clockers -- Gigabyte has sent us their version of the Radeon HD 5450. The HD 5450 is in direct competition to the Nvidia Geforce 210. But cards will set you back less than $50. Neither card is going to make you run out and buy them. But if you are in the market for a ultra quiet better than iGPU than I would suggest you take a look at this new card from Gigabyte. Today, we will give you a head start at seeing just what the HD 5450 has to offer.
