Pro-Clockers -- Evercool is back with another cooler that takes aim at the middle market segment like the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro. The segment dedicated to winning the hearts of people on tighter budgets or who don't need any form of extreme air cooling. The best thing about the new Buffalo CPU cooler is that it can be had for about $20 online and has the ability to offer much better cooling than the stock Intel cooler. Is the Buffalo enough to tackle the biggest issue inside a computer tower, heat? We will find out.. Direct Link
Driverheaven -- With the subject of today’s review Arctic Cooling hope to continue their successful line of GPU cooling products, read on to find out if the Accelero XTREME 4870X2 is up to the task of cooling ATI’s dual GPU monster. Direct Link
The Tech Zone -- By and large, the Cryo S follows in the same philosophy as other notebook coolers in the Cryo family. You get a jet black aluminum finish, topped off with some rubberized feet to grip the base of your laptop.
You don’t have to worry about cheap craftsmanship or shoddy materials, because NZXT has forged this product using 3mm thick aluminum construction. Believe me when I say that it’s built pretty darn tough. This also means that it has somewhat sharp edges and it may not be the most portable solution out there. Direct Link
Pro-Clockers -- The Sentry 1 controlled five fans, featured a monochromatic screen and fit a 5.25" drive bay. The Sentry LX also controlled five fans, but featured a multi-colored display and took up two 5.25" drive bays. The new Sentry 2 combines a multi-colored LCD of the LX with the compact form of the Sentry 1 and adds a touchscreen display. Let's take a closer look! Direct Link
Hardware Secrets -- We reviewed Akasa Nero CPU cooler, which fits sockets 1366, 775, 939, AM2, AM2+ and AM3 processors, have three U-shaped heatpipes and a 120 mm fan. Let's compare its performance to Thermaltake BigTyp 14Pro we recently reviewed. Direct Link
Overclocker Cafe -- The Hyper 212 Plus Cooler does a great job with a single cooling fan attached or going all out with two. With the single though, we liked the tower set up and the relative silence of its operation. Build quality was the norm from Cooler Master; excellent. The only thing we didn't like was the motherboard removal. Removing a board to install a cooler is no big thing especially if you are sporting a Cooler Master Scout or Cooler Master Sniper Case where you can access the back side of the mobo through a cutout in the tray. If you aren't however, it is a mild pain. Direct Link
Dragon Steel Mods -- Like most people, notebook coolers come in all shapes and sizes. If you are looking for something light and portable, then the NXZT Cryo LX is not meant for you. It carries the self proclaimed title “world’s largest full aluminum notebook cooler” for good reason. Thankfully NZXT also designed it to be easily transportable with a fold up design. Direct Link
OCIA -- There are all sorts of laptop coolers on the market, but OCIA.net has only seen a few of them. Back in February of last year, our reviewer Frank Stroupe had a chance to check out NZXT's high end, aluminum laptop cooler, the Cryo LX, which fits up to 19” wide-screen laptops. NZXT was born into the case market, so designing for style on top of functionality is the name of their game. This design process proved thoughtful and effective as the Cryo LX earned our seal of approval. Today, NZXT is at it again, as I have a look at their Cryo S aluminum laptop cooler. Direct Link
OCModShop -- Notebook computers tend to get hot. Some are even considered to be "desktop replacements" because of all the advanced hardware thrown into such a small space. With desktop systems, we have the luxury of adding large and advanced heatsinks with fancy LED fans, but laptops pretty much have to rely on the OEM cooling that the manufactuer has decided is "good enough".
Enermax says "nay" to this philosophy and introduces the Aeolus CP001 notebook cooler, which is made from all aluminum, and has a large 250mm fan to blow a lot of air to the underside of your notebook and remain silent while doing it. The fan is also equipped with blue LEDs to produce a nice glow in your man-cave. Aeolus is the god of the winds, in Greek Mythology, so Enermax apparently thinks highly of this product. Direct Link
Legit Reviews -- The times are a-changin'. In the past for extreme overclocking cooling solutions your options were rather limited. You could pay an arm and a leg to a machine shop to make a one-off pot or turn to the handful of pot makers and wait till they had another batch complete. With Koolance things have been simplified to directing your browser to Koolance.com and swiping(typing in) your credit card. Within a week you could be up and running, easily pushing your processor beyond what is possible with air, water, or simple phase change cooling systems. Koolance's CPU-LN2 is a nickle plated copper pot designed to be used with dry ice and liquid nitrogen for extreme overclocking... Direct Link
Legit Reviews -- NZXT has a sound product offering with its CRYO S notebook cooler. Beautifully crafted, attractive features and a price tag you can live with, the CRYO S is a solid choice for those needing some cooling for their notebook or netbook device... Direct Link
techPowerUp -- Spire's TherMax II is a new DHT CPU cooler for AMD and Intel CPUs. Its four heatpipes make direct contact with the processor for optimum cooling. Also included in the package is a fan controller which allows you to control the UV reactive fan in any way you want. Direct Link
TweakTown -- CyberPower has built some pretty sleek computers that Chris has reviewed for us, like the Black Mamba Venom System and Black Pearl as examples. These PCs are assembled with all the latest hardware, cases and cooling systems. If the Asetek LCLC Liquid Cool CPU Cooler or the Cooler Master V8 aren’t your cup of tea, or you are just short of the total funds needed for purchasing such a system, there are options to save on a few components and customize these systems to both your needs and credit limits.
XtremeGear has developed the Xtreme Cooler HP-1216 air cooling solution to add to CyberPower’s lineup. Personally testing four of the optional choices, I already have a good idea of what the field has to offer, both in performance and pricing. Let’s get down to business and see what XtremeGear has brought to CyberPower and how well it stacks up to the already reasonable air cooling choices available. Direct Link
Driverheaven -- Since then GC-1 and MX-2 have been competing for our hard earned money but things are about to get a little more interesting as both manufacturers are refreshing their product line. Gelid have GC-2 heading to stores across the world now and we have an exclusive preview of Arctic Cooling’s MX-3 which aims to be the best performing compound available. Direct Link
