Thermaltake V1 Heatsink

hi-tech reviews -- What has 100-fins, four heatpipes and one 110 x 25mm fan that turns no faster than 2000 RPMs? That would be the newest addition to the Thermaltake line-up, the V1 may just be the best looking unique heatsink you have ever seen. Now the question remains, how well does it perform? Come on along as we answer that question and take a closer look at the V1. Direct Link

Cooler Master GeminII

TweakNews -- Cooler Master took a gamble bringing such a large cooler to market. The sheer size of the GeminII will preclude its use on some motherboards, and I can see that it will be a very tight fit in some smaller cases. Performance wise, the GeminII posted up some good numbers on the testbed, but fell short of the lofty expectations that a cooler of this size and design would inspire. This is not to say that the cooling performance was lacking; it wasn't. I just think it would be reasonable to expect more from the GeminII. Direct Link

Coolit Freezone CPU Cooler

Pro-Clockers -- Making a peltier cooling system from scratch is usually a very expensive and time consuming process, but CoolIT Systems has developed two complete peltier cooling systems called the Freezone and Eliminator to help bridge this gap, and give enthusiasts and mainstream users alike a high-end cooling solution for their new dual and quad core computer systems. Cooler Master Aquagate S1

3D Game Man -- Many people are intimated by water cooling because they don't want liquid spilling all over their hardware components. This is a concern, especially if you are piecing together a water cooling system yourself. If you chose to do that, you have to be 100% sure that it's not going to leak. This is not so much of a concern with the Cooler Master Aquagate S1 Water Cooling System because everything is pre-connected. This kit does perform reasonable well, it's affordable and installation is extremely simple. The only pitfall to this kit is the small pump which makes an annoying loud buzzing sound. Thermaltake iXoft

Hardware Secrets -- Weight is a major concern for those who buy a laptop. Since it’s supposed to be carried around, it has to be as lightweight as possible. Most people don’t realize however that heat is also an issue. Notebooks have a tendency to get really hot during prolonged usage. There are several cooling solutions on the market, most of them USB-powered fan units that are both heavy and noisy. iXoft, a new product from Thermaltake, is neither, relying on simple chemistry to cool a laptop and prevent the user from feeling its heat. Swiftech Apogee GT

techPowerUp -- Trends in waterblock design don't change often. Until recently, it was thought that jet-impingement was the best way to go for achieving the lowest temperature when cooling a processor. Then came along quad-core CPUs, and it became evident that we must look at other ways of cooling these beasts – their core surface is very large, so waterblock designers were forced to return to old-school, large surface area waterblocks. The Apogee GT is one of the first blocks that attempts to offer jet-impingement performance from a block relying on a simple array of copper pins – can it succeed? Direct Link

Titan G4TZ Magic Pad

Benchmark Reviews -- As users demand the same performance from notebook computers as they get from their desktop, manufacturers are finding that it's getting tougher and tougher to design a cool running computer. NVIDIA now offers some very high-end graphics to notebook builders, which makes the task that much more difficult. This opens a new segment of the market up to manufacturers willing to provide aftermarket notebook cooling solutions. In this article Benchmark Reviews evaluates just how well the Titan G4T Magic Pad cools overheated notebooks. Direct Link

ZEROtherm GX815 VGA Cooler

Driverheaven -- Hardcore overclockers and gamers do not only have to worry about the temperature of their CPU, but also the temperature of their video cards. Overclocking a video card usually has a much larger impact on game frame rates than overclocking a processor. That said, there is also another point of view when it comes to gaming and has nothing to do with overclocking, many people like to enjoy some casual gaming with their HTPC, or simply in a quiet environment. Buying a high end video card usually leaves these people frustrated, as the “reference” coolers generate a lot of noise in order to keep them cool enough. So aftermarket VGA coolers easily come into mind. Today we will take a look at a VGA cooler from a Korean company, Zerotherm, the GX815. The GX815 boasts not only exceptional performance but low noise as well. Too good to be true? We will soon find out. Direct Link
