Arctic Cooling MX2 Thermal Compound

Driverheaven -- Arctic Silver have everything to cater for chipset, VGA, Case or CPU cooling. Our most favoured product to date has been their original Freezer 7 CPU cooler which despite being 2 years old still cools our QX6700 Intel CPU without issue and in near silence, 24hours a day. Of course a good cooler can do only so much if a generic thermal compound is applied between the CPU/GPU/Chipset and the heatsink, luckily Arctic Cooling have us covered on this front as their MX-1 paste provides some excellent benefits over standard "gloop". However, the reason we are here is to introduce a new product, the MX-2 High Performance Thermal Compound. Direct Link

Akasa AK-965

Frosty Tech -- Akasa's AK-965 heatsink utilizes three "U" shaped copper heatpipes to connect a compact copper base block with widely spaced aluminum fins. It's 95mm PWM fan spins only as fast as needed to achieve good temperature control, and works well at moving air relatively quietly through the aluminum fins. Copper heatpipes are positioned close to the processor, and in the direct path of airflow at the other end. All good thermal design criteria in fact. Now if this heatsink looks familiar to you, it's because this arrangement of copper and aluminum works, so many other companies have released similarly built heatsinks. Direct Link

Coolink Silentator

TechDomain -- Overall I was very impressed by the Coolink Silentator. It performed very well, especially considering that by all accounts it is a budget cooler (RRP is around $40aud cheaper then the Noctua). While there are a couple of things that could be better, this cooler is without a doubt a good investment if you are currently in the market. Direct Link

Zalman CNPS9700 LED HSF

Gideon Tech -- With great temps come great noise; even in my computer filled office. So I switched things back to smart fan, and the noise level dropped considerably. Temperature gone up from 27C to 30C, which really is not that bad of a trade-off for a quieter system. Direct Link

GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy II

techPowerUp -- Are you looking to get into water cooling, but are not quite sure where to start, or want something a little more than a pre-built cooler? Well we may have a solution for that - The GIGABYTE 3D Galaxy II Water Cooler. Today we will take a look at GIGABYTE's new water kit and put it to the test. Direct Link

Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler

Viper Lair -- We were very impressed with the Thermaltake V1 CPU Cooler (CL-P0401) in many areas. The V1 is certainly one of the easiest air coolers to install, second only to the asetek VapoChill Micro. I cannot stress enough how annoying it normally is to remove a motherboard for a new cooler, especially when a lot of time was spent neatly routing cables and making everything presentable. No motherboard removal is needed assuming you're already using a cooler that locks in using AMD or Intel's current anchoring system. Direct Link

CoolIT Systems Freezone

Techware Labs -- If you are looking for advanced cooling for your system and normal air coolers will not provide enough cooling you may just want to take a look at the Freezone from CoolIT systems. The Freezone combines the properties of watercooling and peltiers to give your system the best possible cutting edge cooling. Does the Freezone work as advertised? We put a Freezone to the test and bring you the facts and numbers behind this systems performance. Read our Review to find out if it passed our test. Direct Link

3RSystem Iceage 120

Frosty Tech -- I'm going to do away with any suspense and just tell you that it performs in the top 10 on both AMD and Intel test platforms. The 3RSystem Iceage 120 heatsink FrostyTech is reviewing today is equipped with four exposed copper heatpipes at its base, vibration absorbing foam pads behind the fan, a 120mm low speed fan and a fan speed controller. At the other end of the 3RSystem Iceage 120 heatsink is where all the fun stuff happens. Swaged into an aluminum block are four 6mm diameter copper heatpipes which make direct contact with the CPU, so the conduction path is about as direct as it gets. Direct Link

Thermalright HR-03 Plus VGA

Hardware Logic -- With graphics cards becoming more and more power hungry, its only logical that they are going to generate more and more heat. Today HL tackles the HR-03 VGA Cooler from the cooling experts Thermalright. Is the HR-03 Plus a worthy replacement for the stock cooling on your NVIDIA 8800 GTS or GTX? Direct Link

nPowertek NPH-1000 Heatsink

Frosty Tech -- Will the NPH-1000 kick butt or rise in temperature like a runaway nuclear reactor? Who knows, at Frostytech we rely on hard numbers. nPowertek's NPH-1000 heatsink is a predominantly copper heatsink with an aluminum base, four heatpipes and a 95mm fan. The heatsink is compatible with AMD Athlon64 socket 754/939/940 & AM2 sockets, and Intel Core 2 Duo socket LGA775 CPUs. Direct Link

ZEROtherm BTF90 CPU Cooler

Driverheaven -- Today we will take a look at a large copper cooler from Zerotherm, the BTF90. The BTF90 is, as the name suggests, a ‘butterfly’ design cooler with a 90mm fan attached to it. It is a fairly large, good looking cooler coming and has a price which pits it against some of the best coolers available in the market today. Direct Link

Scythe Kama Cross SCKC-1000

Frosty Tech -- This week FrostyTech is testing out the Scythe Kama Cross (SCKC-1000) heatsink. This puppy takes on a unique shape, a little clever fin geometry, and the ubiquitous copper heatpipe to get the job done. At first glance the Scythe Kama Cross has everything it should need to be successful, but as always we'll wait until the thermal results are in... Direct Link

Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultra

BurnOutPC -- The H20-220 Apex Ultra is aimed at overclockers and people who want the best there is when using a dual 120mm radiator. Therefor it doesn't come cheap. It's sold for around 280 dollars but it's well worth the money. Craftmanship and quality are the two reasons you might want to go with something like this. Competition is tough, especially from Germany. But Swiftech has been doing it's thing long enough to know what works and what doesn't. Their new improved small sized reservoir is much better than the one im used to from their previous kits and the new Apogee GT block not only looks nice, it performs great too! And installation was a breeze. Direct Link

Zalman ZM-MFC2 Fan Controller

3D Game Man -- Typically, fan controller are relatively boring devices that play an important role in keeping computer systems cool. This is of course until now. The Zalman ZM-MFC2 Fan Controller is clearly the king of the fan controllers, especially in the looks department. It will bring just about any case to life with all kinds of useful information. Information about how power consumption, the fan speeds and temperatures of hardware components. It's even easy to install and a snap to operate. If you're in the market for a fan controller I would strongly recommend this one. It’s one of the coolest fan controllers that I've seen. This product has MUST HAVE written all over it! Direct Link
