Pro-Clockers -- Thank you NZXT for sending me the Sentry II fan controller. Fan controllers have always held a little soft spot in my book. I started modding my computer more years ago than I can remember. Back before you could even find a case with a window or in any color other than beige I don’t think you could even buy windows at first. One thing I always wanted to do was build a fan controller. At that time I only remember Sunbeam as the only company that put out a mass produced fan controller, otherwise you built your own. It was not too difficult, the plans and parts were out there for all, it just required a solder gun, drilling and some other light tools. You gained total control of your fans though. Fast forward a decade (or more) to the NZXT Sentry II, all you need is a screwdriver, tape (provided) and wire management skills (or not). Not only do you get total control of your fans, you get touch screen technology, alarms, digital temperature displays and auto control. All this for less money that it cost me to build my own back then.

The Tech Zone -- By and large, the Cryo S follows in the same philosophy as other notebook coolers in the Cryo family. You get a jet black aluminum finish, topped off with some rubberized feet to grip the base of your laptop. You don’t have to worry about cheap craftsmanship or shoddy materials, because NZXT has forged this product using 3mm thick aluminum construction. Believe me when I say that it’s built pretty darn tough. This also means that it has somewhat sharp edges and it may not be the most portable solution out there.

Pro-Clockers -- The Sentry 1 controlled five fans, featured a monochromatic screen and fit a 5.25" drive bay. The Sentry LX also controlled five fans, but featured a multi-colored display and took up two 5.25" drive bays. The new Sentry 2 combines a multi-colored LCD of the LX with the compact form of the Sentry 1 and adds a touchscreen display. Let's take a closer look!

Techgage -- Whether you are looking to add some eye-candy to your machine, or want full control over your cooling system, adding in a robust fan controller isn't a bad idea. One of the best we've seen to date is NZXT's Sentry LX, which we happen to be taking a look at here. It's well-priced, looks good and works well... three things we like to see with any product.

Pro-Clockers -- This is were the Cryo LX comes in action. The Cryo LX is a new laptop cooler from NZXT that is bigger to allow cold air to flow underneath laptops as large as nineteen inches. And if this isn't enough the Cryo LX eliminates one of the many accessories that many notebook user carry around with them and that is a USB hub. That's right the Cryo LX has a built-in four port USB hub. If there anything this cooler has to offer you will have to read more.

Futurelooks -- It’s partly because I tend to work out of some rather cramped quarters, but I haven’t owned a desktop computer in years. Instead, my trusty notebook has become my main computer, handling all of my image editing, word processing, and social networking. One thing that I learned very quickly, however, is that the built-in cooling on most laptops can leave much to be desired.
