XtremeGear HP-1216B

Frosty Tech -- The XtremeGear HP-1216B heatsink utilizes a dimpled surface texture on its raw aluminum fins as well, and quite amazingly retails for $29! Standing 153mm tall, the HP-1216B heatsink is equipped with a single no-name 120mm fan that rotates at 2000-1000RPM and is illuminated by four blue LEDs. At full speed it's moderately audible, and at the slowest speed you'll get good performance a nearly silent levels.

Thermalright HR-05-SLI Chipset

PC Modding Malaysia -- All in all, the HR-05-SLI heatsink is yet another impressive chipset cooler by Thermalright. It has two heatpipes, a large copper base and massive surface area designed for passive cooling. Although it was originally designed for passive cooling, you can always hook a 70mm or 80mm fan onto it and enjoy up even cooler chipset temperatures. While we were utterly impressed with the original HR-05, we were amazed with the newer HR-05-SLI. Thermalright had certainly put a lot of thought into designing the HR-05-SLI that if installs on multi GPU motherboards such as NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire. If you have a DFI LAN Party nF4 motherboard, this is perhaps the best chipset cooler you can buy for your motherboard. On our first motherboard, it was 10șC cooler but our second motherboard recorded a whopping 28șC cooler with the Thermalright chipset heatsink. If you are looking for the best chipset heatsink for your multi GPU motherboard, then the Thermalright HR-05-SLI worth checking out. For around $26 / RM100, this chipset heatsink is not very expensive when compared to other chipset heatsink with heatpipes.

ASUS Crux K8 MH7S

ClubOC -- Most people know ASUS for their award winning motherboards or graphics cards. Today we will be taking a look at something new from the engineers at ASUS, the Crux series heatsink. ASUS has a reputation as one of the top motherboard manufacturers in the industry. Can the guys at ASUS bring the same level of performance to cooling your Athlon?

Noctua NH-U12P SE1366 CPU Cooler

Pro-Clockers -- Noctua has released their first cooler for the Intel 1366 processor in the form of the NH-U12P SE. The U12P-SE is a revamped version of the U12P which was one of the best performance coolers we had ever tested at Pro-Clockers. In order to tame the heat that is put out by the Core i7 processor, Noctua has opted for a new mounting assembly and dual NF-P12 120mm cooling fan. Besides the upgrades offered on the NH-U12P, the cooler retains the four nickel plated heat pipes and its handsome good looks. But is the NH-U12P enough to remain in the top range of coolers like it was in the past? We will spend a few days with the cooler and see how well it performs.

Apack Zerotherm CF900

Frosty Tech -- The Zerotherm CF900's Protechnic MGT9212HS-S25 fan has a thermistor attached to a short length of wire coming out of the motor hub, and this plays a crucial role in how the heatsink performs. The thermistor is cleverly located inside a well formed within in the array of copper cooling fins, so it accurately responds to the temperature of the metal, not the internal case air temperature. This enables the Zerotherm CF900 fan to scale its impeller speed as necessary, and cuts down on unnecessary noise. At its slowest speed (800RPM), the 95mm diameter Protechnic fan barely produces 35 dBA noise. At its full speed of 2300RPM, the fan rumbles away with a moderately audible 48.3 dBA.

Thermaltake Big Typhoon

Futurelooks -- So you thought we were done with Thermaltake's Big Typhoon, eh? We go back and dig a little deeper, peeling back those layers, to see just how good it really is with some extra special torture tests.

Zalman CNPS 9500AT

Pro-Clockers -- The goal of a lot of today’s Intel owner is to figure a way to cool the CPU that they elected to build their system around. And many companies have tried to aid in this adventure. Some fail and some succeed. Today, we have a cooler that looks very much like one that you may have seen before. That cooler is the new CNPS 9500AT from Zalman. The cooler that it resemble so much is the CNPS 9500LED. Actually, they are the same cooler minus two small differences. The 9500AT has no blue LED and only mounts on the Intel Socket T.

ZEROtherm Zen ZF120 Cooler

Pro-Clockers -- Today we are going to be taking a close look at the Zen ZF120 from ZEROtherm. ZEROtherm made a pretty big splash onto the scene with its butterfly themed BTF80/90. This cooler did pretty even with its funky butterfly design. But ZEROtherm is back with a more traditional tower designed cooler in the Zen ZF120. This cooler will be up against some solid competition in our testing section. Read on to see how well it does.
